Lighting Panel at Headboard
January 6th, 2011A panel of light switches near the bed’s headboard will save steps as well as increase safety. Include a switch for the room’s ceiling fan and add dimmer switches that control a light in the room as well as in a nearby bathroom so no one is ever stumbling around in the dark. Bedrooms for the kids as well as guests are terrific places for this with the dimmer switch on the room’s light creating a low-level night light. In the master bedroom, add a switch for the front porch light so you can turn it off after your last teenager comes home, startle prowlers and signal to someone at the doorbell that you are on your way.
